may 13th

worked another double shift 🥲

5.5 hours one location, 5.5 hours at another location :’)

ain’t no way i was gonna do anything else other than sleep

i did manage to read a few chapters of lockwood and co tho (WHY DID YOU CANCEL IT NETFLIX?? WHY DID YOU CANCEL IT??)

may 14th

happy mother’s day :D (bakery was busy af)

8 hour shift at a bakery on mother’s day was BRUTAL (5:30am start no less :’))

went home, slept for like, 4 hours

attended a social event

tried to work on my chem dry lab, ended up watching House MD

may 15th

8 hour shift at the bakery (again)

went home, slept

tried to commit identity fraud for my mother (long story)

worked on my biochem report (the one i did a lab for last week) and finished around 65% of it

watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds :)

Just in case I was sad about leaving bakery going to the next store... they've decreed no colored donuts again.

But if we want we can put extra fruit in top of the fruit donuts... even though that invalidates the state law mandated calorie count labels. 🤷‍♂️

Now, let me catch my HR rep because we're 2 for 2 messed up vacation pay checks now. I didn't get paid for the first one and they had to fix it. This one, I'm $500 short.

I used to work for a german bakery here in Canada. The owner had recipes for bread from his great grandfather. It was delicious and i miss it so much! The sourdough mother was at least 30 years old, and it was my job to feed her and make sure all the ingredients were ready for the day.

Handmade sourdough rye is amazing, especially compared to the very light sandwich bread that is most available in North America.

love is everywhere tbh. it’s there in the home cooked meals you got from back home a million miles from wherever you are tucked away in the fridge that you heat up whenever cooking from scratch feels like too much. it’s there in the fresh laundry by the dinner table that your past self did because they knew friday nights would be as exhausting as thursday afternoons. it’s in the faint music three blocks down at the local restaurant where you know it’s another birthday party and that there are people happy someone was born and someone is happy to be born out of love and loved still. everywhere there is love and love is everywhere etc etc.

this was such a special trip for me. my first time travelling entirely on my own, discovering and falling in love with a city. i've been to london a few times growing up, but i've never had the chance to really explore and live in it until now. forever an experience i'll cherish <3
